Interesting figures

With some help from Stokcholm statistics manager C3P0 I've compiled the following stats. They are a bit similar to those that GM sedsy presented a couple of days ago. I'll use them to show something different though.

The Diff is the difference in win % between the best and the worst team in the league. As you all can see the gap has grown each season. The differances between the TWHL1 and TWHL2 standings are huge. Some teams improved alot such as Hong Kong, Calcutta and Rome. Others like Santiago and Cairo went the other way.

Between the TWHL2 and TWHL3 season we also see alot of changes. The TWHL1 draft was a good fraft filled of prospect so it wasn't that strange that some of the bad teams improved a lot. If we look at how the 6 last teams in TWHL2 has developed after a relativly weak draft it will show the following.

These numbers are based on how the teams will end up if they will have their current win % at the end of twhl3

Bottom 6
Santiago +.128 = +20pts
Cairo +.167 = +26pts
Prague +.112 = +18pts
Havana +.015 = +2pts
London -.016 = -2pts
Rio +.205 = +32pts
-----------------------
total +96pts

And this is TWHL2's top 6
Singapore -.120 = -19pts
Taipei +.023 = +4pts
Toronto -.137 = -22pts
Tokyo +.070 = +11pts
Stockholm +.016 = +2pts
Hong Kong +.046 = +6pts
------------------------
total -18pts
Here we can see that the botton six teams from TWHL2 have improved ALOT. They will take 96 more points than they did last season. Thats 16 points / team. I think that this shows that the league gives the bad teams pretty good help to re-build. Question is if this years draft is strong enough to help the poor teams like the previous drafts has.

To re-build a bad team into a mediocre one can be done in a season, to get from medicore to a contender however might be harder. Here you'll need a lot of luck with the S&S, positive rerates and farm rerates. Good coaching is of course also required.

Rome and Hong Kong have gone from bad to contender in three seasons. With good streaks both these teams could make it to the final although it is very hard to get out of the Lee. I'm glad Stockholm isn't in the LEE.

Even after seeing how much the bottom 6 teams have gained from last season I still feel that the league might be dividing, So perhaps we should have drafts more like the one we had in TWHL2.
